Using their own words, GPs on this page highlight the ordinary and the extraordinary parts of their lives, including aspects of the work they do. From Antarctica to the outback, GPs make a difference. Doing skin checks, well baby checks, sick baby checks, antenatal care, aged care, skin checks, minor surgery, wound care, trauma care, mental health, filling academic roles, government positions and beyond, GPs can do an extraordinary number of tasks and fill an amazing variety of roles. Beyond our clinical roles, many GPs have other interests and talents, create, compete, champion causes and expand their world view.
I personally know only a few of the GPs who are listed here — this is not a recommendation nor an endorsement of them or their interests.
It is, however, a celebration of the wonderful breadth and depth in the GP workforce.
Our strength is in our diversity.
